Technical Education Professor

(ETEC - Centro Paula Souza)

My path as an educator began in 2011 . At the age of 25, I sought an opportunity at a technical school, but not just any institution. I was drawn to Centro Paula Souza (CPS), recognized as the largest public institution for professional and technological education in Latin America, with a significant presence in over 300 municipalities in São Paulo through its Etecs (technical schools) and Fatecs (colleges of technology).

As soon as I stepped into the classroom, I felt an immediate connection to teaching. The patience to explain, the search for the most effective teaching methods, and a strong willingness showed me that this was a promising path. Right from the start, I had the opportunity to teach in areas I am passionate about: photography, multimedia, design, and marketing. Throughout these years, it has been immensely rewarding to witness students of all ages being amazed by the artistic and communicational possibilities that photography and video offer, discovering their own creative potential.

This feeling was confirmed the following year, 2012, when I participated in a rigorous multi-stage public competition to become a tenured professor for technical courses at CPS. Achieving first place in this selection process was a significant milestone and reinforced my calling.

The daily challenges of the classroom and the constant need for learning and updating demanded increasingly more of my energy and time. Faced with this, I made the decision to scale back my involvement in the corporate world to dedicate myself more intensely to teaching, a choice that has proven deeply rewarding.

University Professor

(FATEC - Centro Paula Souza)

In 2022, I began a new chapter in my teaching career by joining as a university professor, also within Centro Paula Souza, but this time at one of its Colleges of Technology (Fatecs) . Since I was already part of the CPS structure through the Etecs, adapting to the environment and institutional culture of Fatec was almost immediate, facilitating my integration.

Fatecs are known for offering Higher Technology Courses (equivalent to Associate or short Bachelor's degrees), lasting approximately three years, with a strong focus on preparing students for the technological demands of the job market. In this context, I have had the opportunity to teach various subjects in the Digital Games and Digital Media Design programs , fields that combine creativity, technology, and communication.

Currently, I continue as a professor at this institution, facing stimulating challenges. Each semester, I am invited to take on diverse subjects within my areas of expertise, which keeps me constantly learning. Furthermore, I have increasingly received invitations to serve as an advisor for Capstone Projects (TCC) and to participate in final project defense committees , activities I consider fundamental for closely monitoring students' final development and the quality of the projects presented.

Guest Educator and Speaker

My passion for exploring new ways of teaching has led me beyond the traditional classroom. In 2016, I co-founded the Quiabo Design e Educação project, an initiative where I sought to apply experimental and sensory methods to teach design to children. Although the project, which ran until 2018 , did not reach the scale I initially envisioned, the experience provided immense learning about alternative pedagogies and educational project management.

Quiabo Design served as a catalyst, opening doors to better understand the world of educational consulting and public speaking. Stemming from this experience, I began receiving invitations to share my ideas on innovative teaching proposals and bring reflections on technology and creativity to other technical education teachers, as well as directly to students at events and workshops.
I see this area of activity – as a speaker and educational consultant – as having significant growth potential in my career. Gradually, my public image has been amplified, and I am increasingly being recognized as a specialist at the intersections of Artificial Intelligence, Technology, and Education, topics I have been delving into and enthusiastically sharing my perspectives on.
